We left Girona and went to Perpignan, our goal was to park our car and have lunch so we can enjoy a little bit of the city.
We were able to park it and close by there was this "brasserie" - La Rotonde, so we decided to look no further. I believe it was their terrace that draw our attention and after, the menu that it this case they had a daily one.

In that same menu there was a Tartare de Saumon (salmon) as a first dish and as a second (or main dish) there was Carré de Porc rôti, with was roasted pork. There was also a dessert that you could have instead of having the first dish.
The salmon tartare was really delicious, the dressing and the dry tomatoe gave it a very nice touch.
As for the pork, it's was good however a bit too dry but with the sauce we can eat it well. But what was really very good were the baked potatoes, they were quite tasty.
It was a very good first choice, no regrets even after seeing other good restaurants around Perpignan.

After lunch we went for a walk through the streets of Perpignan and we quickly arrived at the La Basse, it's quite a lovely stroll close to the channel. At the Place de la Resistance we begin to see the Castillet, once the door you had to pass by to get into the city.
It is a small city centre and you can see it in a couple of hours, some of it's most notable builings are the XV century Cathedral of St. Jean and the Hotel de Ville rebuilt in the 1951, I specially liked walking into it's narrow streets finding special corners that make you wish you had more time to just sit down, read a book while enjoying the atmosphere.
